Official visit of the Commander of NATO's Joint Support and Enabling Command to the Joint Staff

  •  At the meeting, an update was given about the evolution of the deployment and sustainment plans, and experiences and lessons learned were shared.

On April 3, Lieutenant General Alexander Sollfrank, Commander of NATO's Joint Support and Enabling Command (JSEC), visited EMAD Headquarters where, after being received by the Chief of the Joint Staff (EMACON), he held a working meeting led by EMACON's Planning Division which was also attended by representatives of the Army and Navy, the Operations Command and the Directorate General for Defense Policy.

During the meeting, various topics of common interest were addressed, including an update on the evolution of deployment and sustainment plans, especially the Spanish commitment to deploying forces in Slovakia, as well as the exchange of experiences and lessons identified.

JSEC is a NATO operational headquarters located in the city of Ulm, Germany. JSEC's mission is to facilitate the sustainment of deployed forces and, when necessary, to coordinate the reinforcement of forces and its sustainment. To accomplish this task, it maintains contacts with relevant authorities of both military and civilian institutions of NATO and EU members.
