  • Brigadier General David Morpurgo received the Ambassador at the Deployable Air Command and Control Centre (DACCC).

On his arrival at the base, the Ambassador was received by Brigadier General David Morpurgo, DACCC Deputy Commander and ESP SNR Colonel Jose Alberto Llopis Almecija. After the honours of ordinance, he greeted the Chiefs of the different divisions that make up the unit and its personnel.

The ambassador was then given a briefing on the various activities and missions carried out by the unit, including aspects such as the courses it offers, its deployment capabilities and the material and personnel resources available.

After the briefing, the ambassador visited the various facilities of the unit where he was shown how the DARS (Deployable Air Control Centre Recognized Air Picture Production Centre Sensor Fusion Post) and the ATTF (Air Command and Control System Training and Testing Facilities) work. He also had the opportunity to see in situ one of the two deployable radars that the unit has (DADR Deployable Air Defence Radar - LTR-25) and whose manufacturer INDRA is Spanish.

He then held a meeting with all the Spanish components assigned to the DACCC, taking an interest in their situation and the work they carry out. He thanked them for their efforts and encouraged them to continue with the excellent work of representing our country, not only in Italy but wherever the unit is deployed.
