The Chief of Defence Staff (CHOD), Admiral General Teodoro E. Lopez Calderón, and the President of Telefonica España, Emilio Gayo Rodriguez, have signed a collaboration agreement between the General Staff, through the Joint Cyberspace Command, and the telecommunications company. The agreement will be in force for four years.
The aim of this collaboration agreement is to promote the development and implementation of activities within the framework of R&D&I, joining forces and seeking synergies in the form of high-impact technological projects of mutual interest. All of this within the framework of the aims entrusted to them.
The technology projects, which will last 12 months, will be co-directed by the Joint Cyberspace Command and Telefonica de España and may involve technical advisory personnel from the Defence Staff or its subordinate bodies or organizations, the Army and Navy, as well as Telefonica.
