Lieutenant Fernando Castro Gómez wins the Operations Command's 20th anniversary logo contest

• The Joint Operations Command has organised a competition to select a logo for the 20^th Operations Command Anniversary.

On the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the creation of the Operations Command, a competition was held to choose the logo to be used as the representative image of the activities that will take place throughout the year.

To this aim, the terms and conditions of the contest were made public, opening the period for proposals on October the 1^st and closing it on November the 10^th. A total of 63 proposals were received, they were evaluated by a jury composed by the Operations Command Group and the heads of its member units.

Among the assessed aspects were the identification of the design with the Operations Command and its missions, as a reference core in the military operations field; it also should reflect the reason for the commemoration: the "20th Anniversary". The design of the logo should be adaptable to any platform (paper, letters, cards, posters, e-mail, web page, etc.), not need to say that it should also be an innovative and creative design.

The submitted designs were in such high quality that it was a difficult challenge to choose a single winner.

After the jury's deliberation, the winner was Lieutenant Fernando Castro Gómez, who is posted at the Naval Military School.
