From today until 9 November, the Expeditionary Group 'Daedalus 23' is taking part in NATO's enhanced surveillance tasks as part of the 'Neptune Strike' activity. Among the participants are the British aircraft carrier 'Queen Elizabeth' and the Italian 'Cavour', with whose aircraft the Navy's Harriers will be integrated.

The 'Neptune Strike' activity will be directed from the Naval Striking and Support Forces NATO Headquarters (STRIKFORNATO) in Oeiras (Portugal) and will include exercises and coordinated missions between the three aircraft carriers in the skies over Bulgaria, Poland, Germany, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Croatia, Montenegro, Albania, Italy and Greece.

In addition to the intense air activity, amphibious activities will also be carried out on the Albanian and Italian coasts, led by the 2nd Marine Landing Battalion.

The 'Dédalo 23' Expeditionary Group will thus reinforce for a few days the Spanish forces participating in NATO surveillance tasks together with the Spanish Battlegroup in Latvia, the Air and Space Army detachments in Romania and the ships integrated in the Alliance's Permanent Naval Groups.
