A Chilean delegation composed of Colonel Luis Rodrigo Barañao Torres and Commander Marcos Andrés Leyton Andaur visited the facilities of the Joint Cyberspace Command, as part of a series of activities aimed at raising awareness of the Defence Staff and its Component Commands.
After being received by Colonel Francisco Palomo Pérez, Director of the Military School of Cyber Operations (EMCO), they received a series of presentations in which the functioning of the Command, its generalities and mission were explained to them. They also received information on the current situation of the EMCO, the institution responsible for training future cyberoperators assigned to this unit.
These types of cooperation activities serve to strengthen ties between brotherly and allied countries, as well as to share information, carry out coordination and learning tasks, and pool information, all of which are part of cyber-diplomacy. This doctrine is indispensable for the proper development of national cyber defence, which needs new perspectives, operational knowledge and constant technological development.
Spain, considered a serious and reliable partner by our partners and allies, is always ready to provide information in order to offer support and new points of view, willing to participate in feedback processes and to set itself up as a benchmark in the field of defence.
