Spanish National Cybersecurity Institute’s (INCIBE) General Manager, Rosa Díaz Moles, along with four other executives paid a working visit to the Joint Cyberspace Command’s (MCCE ) headquarters.
After being welcomed by the Commander of the Joint Cyberspace Command, General Rafael García Hernández, the delegation received a series of conferences in which they were explained the tasks and capabilities of the body in its three configurations, as MCCE dependent on the JEMAD, as MOC (Cyberspace Operational Command) dependent on the CMOPS, and as ESPDEF-CERT dependent on the Ministry of Defence, cooperating with the other two CERT (English acronym for Computer Emergency Response Team), CCN and INCIBE; in those situations that they require the support of the essential services operators and, necessarily, in those actors that have an impact on Defence.
Each of the departments explained the duties they carry out and they also had the opportunity to take a tour of the body’s facilities while the peculiarities of the daily work were explained in detail.
INCIBE’s staff expressed their availability to strengthen the existing channels of collaboration, as well as to find new ones that might contribute to strengthening the good relations and cooperation that exist between the two CERTs, not only on a day-to-day basis but also in respect of the medium and long term, such as the promotion of the industry in the field of cyberspace and R+D+i or the programs developed by INCIBE to spread the culture of cybersecurity.
The days’s goals were successfully achieved and collaboration was strengthened in the programs that were identified during the visit that the MCCE paid to INCIBE earlier this year.
The close collaboration that already exists between the two entities is reflected in the existing synergy related to projects within the Working Group 4 of the National Cybersecurity Forum, promoted by the Department of National Security (DSN).
