  • Both agencies have shown mutual interest to promote areas of collaboration

Commander of the Joint Cyberspace Command (MCCE), general Rafael García Hernández, along with his deputy Commander, the Chief of Staff and the Chief of Cyberspace Operations, paid a visit to the National Cybersecurity Institute (INCIBE), in León

Rosa Díaz Moles, INCIBE's Director, welcomed the MCCE delegation and, afterwards, the delegation toured the various sub-directorates where INCIBE's staff briefed them on their duties and capabilities.

At all times, the Institute's staff showed a great interest to collaborate in all areas in which the two CERTs (Computer Emergency Response Teams) can do so, not only on a day-to-day basis but also in matters related to the medium and long term, such as the promotion of industry and R+D+i or the programmes that INCIBE develops to disseminate the culture of cybersecurity.

The objectives of this working session were successfully achieved. In this regard, both agencies agreed on the programmes that it is possible to collaborate, such as training, the relationships with the business sector or the combined effort in the field of cyberthreats with closer cooperation between the public and private sectors and the Armed Forces.

The close collaboration that already exists between the two institutions is reflected in the synergies within the Working Group 4 of the National Cybersecurity Forum, promoted by the Department of National Security (DNS).
