MCCE Commander, master general Rafael García Hernández, has assumed the presidency of the Pro Tempore Secretariat of the Ibero-American Cybersecurity Forum (FIC).
Spain, through the MCCE, will lead the fifth edition of this FIC Secretariat during the year 2022.
The Forum is an initiative that began six years ago, on May 27th, during the meeting of the cyber defence delegations of Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico, Paraguay, Peru and Spain. The aim was to initiate and extend cooperation in the field of cyber defence, as established in their Letter of Intent, and to make progress in collaboration in this area between the signatories' Armed Forces. The spirit of the Forum is still alive and continues to foster good relations between the member countries, and has also contributed to join more countries from South America to this initiative.
It is currently made up of Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico, Guatemala, Paraguay, Peru, Portugal, Uruguay and Spain.
