Spanish CHOD signs an agreement with 'the Legacy' Association for the promotion and dissemination of Spain's military historical contribution in the United States of America

The Ministry of Defense and the Spanish Legacy in the United States of America Association 'The Legacy', have signed an agreement to implement a collaboration framework in order facilitate the dissemination of the importance of Spain's historical military contribution in the United States.

The agreement was signed by the Chief of Defense Staff (JEMAD), Air General Miguel Angel Villarroya, and the president of the Association Eva María García García.

During the signing ceremony, General Villarroya emphasized that the development of the defense culture is crucial for our society to get to know our history and also the effort that our Armed Forces make on a daily basis. He also stressed that the ties of union between both countries, and the historical milestones achieved by our armies in the past centuries in the US, must be disseminated and known by this and future generations.

By signing this agreement, the Ministry of Defense, through the Center for National Defense Studies (CESEDEN), and 'The Legacy' Foundation establish the basis for the organization and development of activities aimed at the dissemination, in both countries, of our historical heritage related to the contribution of Spain to the history of the United States.
