The Managing Director of the National Institute of Cybersecurity (INCIBE), Rosa Díaz Moles, visited the Joint Cyber Defense Command (MCCD), located in the Retamares Base, Madrid, on Monday, February 10. The visit is part of the excellent collaboration relationship between both institutions.
During the visit, a presentation focused on the MCCD's position within the National Cybersecurity Strategy- published in May 2019- was conducted. The organization, missions and military capabilities of the Joint Cyber Defense Command was also presented.
The purpose of the visit is to continue the collaboration between the two institutions in order to improve and enhance the cybersecurity and cyberdefence capabilities of both parties within the scope of their respective competencies. Coordinated actions, exchange of information, generation of knowledge and experiences in these areas of knowledge, as well as the development of studies, research and actions of mutual interest reflect the collaboration between both institutions.
After the presentation, the director visited the command facilities, in which she checked the different capabilities, especially the CyOC (Cyber Defence Operations Centre) from which the joint Information and Telecommunications Networks (CIS) of the Ministry of Defence are monitored.
