At seven o'clock in the evening, ‘Las Mestas’ began the demonstration of personnel and material of the Armed Forces. The exhibition was presided over by the Ferrol’s Naval Base Commander, Admiral Ignacio Frutos, who was accompanied by the Mayoress of Gijón, Carmen Morillón.

Other military and civilian authorities were also present in the box, and together with the large audience, they were able to enjoy the jumps of the Air and Space Army Aerobatic Patrol (PAPEA) with which the exhibition began.

Next, the Military Emergency Unit (UME), and more specifically personnel from the Fifth Emergency Intervention Battalion (BIEM V), carried out two drills: one of them, members of the Emergency Intervention and Rescue Platoon (PIER) and the other, members of the Cynological Platoon with the dogs Sultan and Illa.

This action gave way to a demonstration by the Army, specifically a joint intervention by a Military Police unit and an EOD (explosive ordnance disposal) team with the Teodor-EOD deactivation robot.

Afterwards, it was the turn of the Navy's Protection Force Units, which began their demonstration with the simulation of an intrusion that neutralised a Naval Police patrol accompanied by a combat dog.

Shortly afterwards it was the turn of the equestrian demonstrations by the Floured Movements Section of the Royal Guard Cavalry Squadron, who ended their performance with a salute of honour. They were followed by the Horse Breeding Service of the Armed Forces with a demonstration of harnesses, classical and cowboy dressage, cobra with purebred Spanish and Spanish-Arabian horses and mares from the military stud farm.

The event was closed by the Cavalry Group of the Guardia Civil, with the Clarinet Band and the Lancers Section, all dressed in Grand Gala uniform, who performed a series of trotting carousels.
