The Joint Cyberspace Command (MCCE) attends the First Meeting of the National Network of SOC (Cyberspace Operations Center) held in Madrid.

The aim of this meeting was to exchange information on cybersecurity and to act quickly and in a coordinated manner in the event of any incident that may simultaneously affect different entities in our country, an essential objective of any SOC and the Computer Emergency and Incident Response Teams (CSIRT and CERT).

With the experience accumulated over these years and with the impetus of the European Commission, it is time to take a further step in improving the protection and defence capabilities of national entities and bodies.

At the initiative of the National Cryptologic Centre (CCN-CERT), the First Meeting of the National SOC Network has been organized to improve the protection and defence capabilities of the Spanish cyberspace and to enable a better efficiency in the levels of detection and discovery of cyber threats. In short, it seeks effective cooperation among its members and to improve the exchange of information.

To coordinate this National Network of SOC, the RD 43/2021, which develops the EU network security directive, establishes in its article 11 the creation of a National Platform for Notification and Monitoring of Cyberincidents, based on the three Reference Computer Emergency Response Teams (CERT): CCN- CERT, INCIBE-CERT and the ESP-DEF-CERT of the Joint Cyberspace Command.
