Joint Cyberspace Command's deputy commander (MCCE in Spanish), rear admiral Roca, has attended the 'Cyber Security World Madrid' (CSWM), an event held within the technological fair "Madrid Tech Show", which took place on 27 and 28 October in Hall 8 of IFEMA Madrid.

After a first failed attempt in 2020 as a result of the pandemic, the "Madrid Tech Show" was born as an international event with the vocation of becoming a reference in the sector.

Although this is the first time it is held in Spain, it is not its first edition worldwide, as it has been held in other countries for 10 years, bringing together around 1,500 exhibitors and 70,000 visitors every year.

"Madrid Tech Show" is made up of six sectorial fairs dedicated to the main trends within the IT professional sector: "Cloud Expo Europe Madrid", "Cyber Security World Madrid", "Big Data AI World Madrid", "Data Centre World Madrid", "E-SHOW Madrid" and "Technology For Marketing Madrid".

The meeting is aimed at professional visitors, specifically C-level executives (senior executives who hold the highest responsibilities within the company) and experts in the IT field. More than 250 companies presented their innovations and services during two days. For this purpose, "Madrid Tech Show" had 17 auditoriums in which 300 presentations were given by experts from both the public and private sectors.

Cyber Security World Madrid is one of the largest meetings on cybersecurity and aims to raise awareness of the different contributions to personal and corporate security in the digital environment in a changing world. Rear Admiral Roca had the opportunity to participate as a guest and speaker in the panel "National Cybersecurity: analysis of main indicators", in which the good relations between the three CERTs (National Cyberspace Incident Response Centers) were highlighted, along with the close collaboration of the Spanish Armed Forces with the CNCS (National Cybersecurity Council). Rear Admiral Roca also highlighted the exponential increase in cyber threats due to the emergence of new network-based technologies.
