The Joint Cyber-Defence Command receives the second prize ISACA 2019 in the ‘Information Systems Security’ category

The Board of Directors of Valencia Spain Chapter of ISACA (“Information Systems Audit and Control Association”) has awarded the Prize ISACA 2010 in the “Information Systems Security” category to the Joint Cyber-Defence Command (in Spanish MCCD) during the celebration of the High Level Conference on Assurance. This event was organised in Valencia on the 14th and 15th November 2019, at which the Commander of the MCCD, General Rafael García Hernández, has taken part.

ISACA helps global professionals to lead, adapt and assure confidence in an evolving digital world by offering innovative and word-class knowledge, standards, relationships, accreditation and career development. It was established in 1969 and it is a global non-profit association of 140,000 professionals in 180 countries. At the same time, ISACA also offers Cybersecurity.  

This award is intended to recognize strategic leadership of individuals or organizations. To do so, the winner must have surpassed the standard in achieving strategic achievements or have made progress in terms of trust and value in Information Technology.

In that sense, the work done by the MCCD in terms of Cyber-defence has been considered crucial.

General Rafael García Hernández has collected the aforementioned award during the closing ceremony.
