The Patrol Vessel (PVZ) 'Tagomago' (P-22) has completed the operation of presence, surveillance and deterrence in the maritime areas of national sovereignty, in the area of the Strait of Gibraltar and the Alboran Sea.
Among the assigned missions, the 'Tagomago' has contributed to the Maritime Environment Monitoring (MEM), which is the driver for the rest of the operations, including Maritime Security Operations (MSO), whose objective is the verification and control of maritime traffic to ensure freedom of navigation.
During its deployment, the patrol vessel has carried out specific actions against threats and illegal acts, as well as naval presence in the vicinity of Alboran Island.
This mission was carried out within the framework of the Presence, Surveillance and Deterrence Operations of the Armed Forces, with the 'Tagomago' integrated in the Maritime Operational Command (MOM) and under operational control of the Joint Operations Command (MOPS).
