NOV. 19th '23.-The Proclamation of the Republic Day is celebrated annually on November 18th. This date marks the anniversary of the Proclamation of Latvian Independence by the People's Council in 1918.
This year the parade consisted of a marching and motorised parade. In total there were more than 190 vehicles from all Latvian state forces and corps, such as military personnel from the Army, Navy, Air Force, National Guard, reservists, firemen, policemen, etc., as well as personnel deployed on international missions belonging to the Latvian Battlegroup, who participated with more than 25 armoured, mechanised and wheeled vehicles.
Among the vehicles on parade were the Pizarro and Leopard 2E (Spain), Dardo, Ariete and Centauro (Italy), PT-91 (Poland), LAV-6 (Canada), Lince (Albania), and several wheeled vehicles from Montenegro, Slovakia, Slovenia and the Czech Republic.
Spain's participation in these events not only highlights the degree of unity among the Battlegoup nations, but also reinforces the bonds of collaboration between these countries and the host country.
