Two Spanish soldiers have been injured in a VTLM Lince vehicle accident in Lebanon

•      Soldiers S.C.P. and M.C.C., seriously injured, but out of danger, have been transferred to the Beirut hospital.

Two Spanish soldiers have been injured after the VTML Lince vehicle on which they were travelling had an accident at 4:15 pm (Spanish time) on the road connecting the Lebanese cities of Abasiva and Al Wazzani, near the Spanish position 4.28

The two soldiers, whith injuries of diverse severity, soldiers S.C.P., and M.C.C., have been transferred to Sant George Hospital in Beirut after the accident, although they are out of danger. Both belong to the 66th Mountain Light Infantry Regiment 'America' (RICZM 66) of the Army, based at Berrioplano (Navarra).

The driver of the vehicle of the Spanish contingent deployed in Lebanon was unharmed.

Immediately after the accident, the health services and the Civil Guard were activated.  They went to the site of the accident, a point on a road parallel to the 'Blue Line’, on which only vehicles of the United Nations Interim Mission in Lebanon (UNIFIL) can circulate.
